We are well and truly into spring now, and any trip out of our cities will see an explosion of colour, made even more spectacular with the recent warm and sunny weather.
Spring for me is the time when we get to spend more time out one the trails with our friends, colleagues and industry contacts. Gone are the thermals and the waterproofs, out come the jersey, shorts, sunnies and suncream.
The current period of dry weather has transformed the countryside and alongside it, the trails we all love to ride. The South Downs Way above Brighton is dry and hard, which makes for some awesome long distance riding on the e-mountain bikes, with plenty of picture postcard villages nestling in the shadow of the South Downs to stop off at. The network of bridleways criss crossing the national trail, have been transformed into amazing single track.
Visible from The South Downs Way and 30km to the North, the Surrey Hills have once again become the mountain bike playground we all love in the dryer months. Be it hitting the trails and Peaslake and cooling off at the Hurtwood Inn or heading across to Leith Hill to grab refreshments at the base of Leith Hill Tower, the area has something for everyone, be it walking, biking or horse riding, it truly is a special area.
Now is the perfect time to pick up an e-mountain bike from numerous outlets and head on out to the hills and see for yourself what the buzz is all about.
